Bradley A. Wood, Managing Director


Brad is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services (EVS) practice. He is located in the firm’s San Francisco office leading the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest business units in assisting clients with real estate economic and valuation related issues. Brad collaborates with a core group of multi-disciplined professionals to address valuation related inquiries in the real estate industry.

 

Brad is primarily tasked with managing and completing commercial real estate valuations for use by clients in tax and financial reporting. As part of his specialty in financial reporting, Mr. Wood is also responsible for managing client relationships and overseeing valuation procedures pursuant to requirements of accounting guidance such as US GAAP and IFRS. 

 

Earlier in his career, Brad assisted in auditing fair value for real estate clients particularly those located in San Francisco and the West Coast. Client engagements consisted of various assignments ranging from valuation of single-asset investment-grade commercial properties to portfolio management. Purposes included quarterly reporting, asset allocation and estate planning, to financing/mortgage underwriting and internal consulting assignments. Property types appraised consisted of development sites, proposed construction, industrial, retail, office, auto dealerships, senior housing, mixed-use, and special-purpose properties, to name a few. Clients served consist of institutional investors, private equity, public funds, developers, religious institutions, public agencies, estates, real estate investment funds and corporate accounting officers, among others.

 

Based in California, Mr. Wood has valued commercial real estate in many foreign countries in Asia and the Americas including China, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Honduras, Venezuela and Argentina. In addition, he has traveled to clients to appraise real estate across Europe including countries such as England, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Switzerland and Italy.
